'Valentino Rossi To F1 In 2011?'

If he goes directly to F1, that would just be just funny. But Ricky Carmichael tried the move to stock cars, and fell on his butt.

Despite deciding against the move several years ago, and dismissing subsequent speculation, Valentino Rossi has now admitted moving to Formula 1 with Ferrari "could happen" in 2011.

Valentino will be what? around 32 or so in 2011.
Not going to happen ........ last week it was Superbikes, the week before WRC.
Operative phrase ....... "could happen"!

So could an outbreak of 'Peace' around the entire Planet but I wouldn't bet on it!

Surtees and 'Mike the Bike' were just great motorsport talents, even if that was "pretty far back".
Let's not forget that Hailwood returned to the IOM and won after he ceased driving F1 cars as well.
However, Agostini and Ken Kavanagh come to mind as two of the Motorcycling champions who never made the cut, and in much more recent years the great Eddie Lawson did a season in Indy Lights plus a few CART rounds with no success.
Oddly enough, going right back, Tazio Nuvolari and Achille Varzi came from two wheels and are regarded (by 'thinking' enthusiasts!) as two of the greatest drivers of all time.
