Vandenberg AFB

Check these guys out

http://www.blueskyscenery.com/CA.html

I put in Vandenberg-oxnard last night. Pt. Mugu looked pretty nice, much improved. Have not checked KVBG yet. There are also a couple of iterations on fs.com, simviation ect. Cannot remember names, but search 'vandenberg'. 2 different authors, default objects, but both OK. I think the Blue sky will be the prefered scenery, though

Only time I could ever access their website was through an american proxy, and I still couldn't download anything. Apparently, there's some sort of internet wizardry blocking some regions of the globe from access.

No trouble from here. Maybe a proxy server like 'hidemyass.com' would help. Tried out the blue sky scenery for Lompoc and Oxnard. Its not holgermesh. Liked Point Mugu. Vandenberg....Meh. Not so much. Its sparse, but the landclass is an improvement. Its photo scenery, but not great at mid settings; you have to poke the sliders over to the right aways, but the FPS don't take too bad a hit on my budget box. Better than default.

I don't go for photoscenery that covers large land masses only because it's almost always void of any autogen. . .looks great from a few thousand feet and up, but lower than that and it takes on a moonscape appearance. I believe "italoc" is looking for specific scenery for the base, not a regional ground texture covering anyway.

Italoc, try this website:
http://www.freewarescenery.com/fsx.html

It's a wealth of information and links for scenery of all types and may have something you can use even if it's not the specific base you're looking for.:salute:
