This "BGL" (airstrip), "GSL" (objects), and "LAY" (layout) scenery for Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2 is the Marine airbase of VMF-214 at Vella Lavella in the Solomon Islands, and is the home of the Black Sheep Squadron, led by Gregory "Pappy" Boyington. GO COLLEGE BOYS!

I'm not sure what could cause that. The scenery GSL file (and layout "LAY" file) is using nothing but stock CFS2 objects and buildings, nothing custom at all.

Hey Stoney,

I *THINK* that I may have figured out what the problem is. I have installed in my copy of CFS2 a fix for "scenery library object" styled runways that are placed using the mission builder. These are NOT standard flight simulator BGL runways, and can cause CFS2 to show that error message.

I also just noticed in your screenshot that the dirt runway doesn't seem to be showing.

Anyhow, attached is the fix, let me know if it works. If so, I'll upload this ZIP to the files section, and link it in the description for the scenery here at SOH.

BTW, this will fix any other missions or scenery that use the Mission Builder runways, not just my Vella Lavella scenery.
