Vertavia

I was looking around the Steam store in search of sales and I happened on some Vertavia aircraft.
I notice all the military aircraft are vanilla, without any markings whatsoever. Anyone know a reason for this?

I think other developers for FSX SE also have full markings. I can't believe there is some copyright issue with the US Govt.

Virtavia's policy for Steam is this (from their website here): "A Steam Edition version is now also available, which follows our usual format of having a single-variant 'Main' package and a separate 'DLC' package with all the other variants."

So, you pay once for the model and again (separately) for a choice of skins -- possibly with some extra models.

Ah! thanks Dave. Weird that you buy it on steam then have to go to another vendor to get the DLC for your DLC.

Sorry, you didn't spell the company name correctly so I thought it was something else.

Virtavia products on Steam have no marking because that is the way Dovetail Games wanted them. It bothers me as much as anyone because a lot of them were my textures.
It was just recently that DTG started allowing military insignia but for some reason still will not allow the use of "Navy" and "Marines" on the textures.
So far Virtavia has not deemed it worthwhile to update the textures at Steam to at least have stars-n-bars let alone my well researched unit markings.

But aside from that I don't know why anyone would buy from Steam when they are all typically available on sale somewhere else.
The issue with versions bought on Steam is that they are encrypted and cannot be used anywhere else. And those bought anywhere else have full markings.

But if you have bought a steam version and want some markings there are repaints everywhere including here.
