What happened to the post about Vertigo studios gone?
There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I must agree with Rob. Deleting threads creates confusion and can look like someone is hiding something. I think it is better to lock a thread and just let it die on its own.I don't mind threads being closed at the mod's discretion, but deleting them from the forum is a bad idea.
If a thread is closed, it will quickly disappear to the bottom of forum posts (and probably be forgotten), but everyone can still see what went on, and why it was closed. Most, if not all people will agree with the mod's actions.
But again, deleting them is a bad thing.
my 2 cents (being a (support) forum moderator myself)
Cheers, Rob

I think he should be approached by the staff, as his behavior & language is completely inappropriate.

For anyone dying to know I was the one that deleted that thread. the posts that caused it happened fairly quickly, and the timing was why most of you don't understand what happened. I did so because some of the personal things said at the end should have never been brought up. I would also suggest that when you see a thread get yanked like that there was probably a really good reason behind it. Trying to start it over tends to go poorly.
At the time I did that I also brought up the issue in the staff forum for discussion.
Considering your number of posts, what you state is partly justifiable about their forums. But to have three posts and 1/3rd being a complaint, that also tends to not go over well around here.
Just say'in
Ah...here we are again...shades of threads past. Whipping up the mob to a frenzy is an old tactic, which often leads to a hanging.
Polite behavior? Does that include throwing complaints at the developer on a third party forum, rather than the developers own website?
But we didn't get the answer we wanted (righteous indignation). We were justified!
The joy of driving another developer into the ground because a few individuals didn't get satisfaction they so rightly deserve. How dare that developer?
Yes, I know, money changed hands, "but you don't understand, it's the principle of the thing"!
And where does that darn developer get off getting angry and mis-behaving...he's got some damn nerve!
I guess we'll all be a lot better off without the likes of AlphaSim, IcarusGold, Vertigo Studios, spewing their venom.
Who needs all those damn planes anyway?
