• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Very confused with steps 3 and 4 of readme for CFS3 ETO EXPANSION rev 1.4

I've just installed CFS3 ETO expansion Rev 1.4 and the hotfix.Everything seems to work just fine but I am very confused with the ETO BDB Zapper and the ETO Backup.The installation instructions say 3. Do Not remove the original desktop icons for the ETO backup and ETO BDP Zapper.4. Now run the ETO BDP Zapper ( "note this is the old one,the new one is CFS3 ETO Expansion BDP Zapper" )immediately after the installation of the CFS3 ETO EXPANSION UPDATE REV 1.4 exe is finished and after you have sent the above referenced icons to your desktop.
I did this so now my desktop includes the following........NEW. CFS3 ETO Backup.exe. CFS3 ETO EXPANSION BDP Zapper.CFS3 ETO EXPANSION ZX Zapper.........OLD.ETO BDP Zapper and ETO Backup.
I must be missing something here because by following my interpretation of the instuctions I have installed the expansion,not deleted the old BDP ZAPPER,copied new BDP zapper from root to desktop,then run the old BDP Zapper.I must have misinterpreted somwhere,I dont understand why install a new BD zapper and then use the old one.
Can someone please put me straight on this.

Hi Terry -

The only ones that I use after installing version 1.4 are ETO BDP Zapper; ETO Start; and ETO Resolution. I believe shortcuts that don't begin with ETO are old versions and need not be used. After installing I ran the ETO BDP Zapper and then ETO start and it ran fine. The only short cuts I have are the three I listed above. I think you could get rid of the others.

I don't use the short cuts for the spawn switcher because they won't work that way in Vista. Instead I run them right from the cfs3/spawn folder (after also turning off User Account Control).
