Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Vimeo and FSX videos

Oh dear, Vimeo looked so promising. I was planning to pay the subscription for Vimeo Plus and go up-market from YouTube with my video making, and then I discovered this hornet's nest of no gameplay videos. The trouble is, they won't tell you what 'gameplay' means, or whether it applies to FSX.

There are hundreds of FSX videos on Vimeo, including some very respectable ones such as the Aviator90 series. But as far as I can make out, videos are subject to arbitrary deletion if someone decides, using vague criteria, that they are (a) 'gameplay' and (b) not 'interesting enough to stay on' (the latter is a quote from the support email I received).

So what are other people's experiences of Vimeo, and what are some good alternatives?
