VISTA Multiplaying update (with the 1.2 patch)

Well, I have installed the 1.2 patch and I had tested it tonight but still no luck. It was still giving me the old 'mis-match aircraft error' again.

But again, it's NOT much of the OFF game itself. It's really the original name CFS3.exe file (which the OFFManager pinpoint to) is causing the problem for VISTA users. Unfortunately, the name CFS3 is needed for the OFFManager to pinpoint so renaming CFS3 is not going to help.

Possible solution: Have the OFFManager pinpoint a renamed CFS3.exe (like Shell.exe) which was done in PHASE 2....

Meanwhile, I am still using the same method by copying the CFS3.exe to another folder, renaming it like CFS3mp.exe, and placing it back to the original folder. See this old thread for further details:

Hello

Understood,

MP is 100% working now in XP - I will look at a solution for this for 1.3

Thank you, Winder, I appreciate that.

Thanks the team for the hard (and quick!) work on getting the patches out anyway.:jump:

Without that neat trick you guys did by renaming the cfs3.exe to Shell.exe in Phase 2, we all wouldn't have accidently discovered it!

Thanks again.

Please contact me on support with your e-mail addy as I would like to send you a test patch - but it will not be for a few days - bit exhausted at the moment.
