VISUAL MODEL CAN'T BE DISPLAYED

I was tinkering with a FS2000 aircraft in CFS2. The aircraft shows in Free Flight but no picture. I then get the message "Visual Model can't be displayed" blah, blah, blah. I thought that FS2000 a/c could be flown in CFS2. Does it have to go through the utility that does the model checking? Speaking of which is it still available?
 
Fib, in my last year of messing with CFS2 I've found in 100% of cases when I get this message it's an incompatibility problem with the .mdl file. Shot in the dark solution is run the .mdl file through MDLC and see if it converts to CFS2.

MDLRepair

Some of the FS2000 models are actually earlier models and will require use of the MDLRepair utility, it also works on some of the CFS1 models that can fail to work in CFS2.
 
I've been playing with various FS aircraft, and have encountered that problem, and wondered what to do about it, so thanks, Seagull V.:salute::salute::salute:

Would this be the one you are thinking about? Mr. Sasala's E2C?
If it is, I just may have something for you.

Still needs a little work on the landing gear and wing fold.
I'll mess around with it some more...see what can be fixed.

It's not multi-lod, but still pretty easy on the FR's.

Be back in an hour or so.

Ok then,

Gear animation : Go
Wing Fold: Go
Flaps: Go
Rotating Radar: Go
Airfile and Cfg: Go
Panel :No Go...Needs a gauge rework, a swop-out with Cfgedit.

One last thing, when it is flying straight and level with the auto pilot on, the external view shows the aircraft with a slight nose down attitude.
I do not know how to fix this.

:salute: That's the one!! Addy is in the tube and away!!:icon_lol: Thank you! As a side thought, what programs/tools are needed to do these conversions? I must be doing something wrong, as I get "failed" notices all the time. Just like in Algebra class when I was in HS!!! I was a real "fulltime student" on that subject. School year+summer school!!!!

Flies beautifully!!!!!! Real fun trying to put that boy down on one of Collin's birdfarms!! I was always amazed at watching them land those things on the birdfarms when my DD did planeguard . Made it look so easy, NOT!!!!:icon_lol:

Yeah, you bet. From the few films I've seen the pilots make it look like just another day at the office.

So you were able to see these first hand..aye? Must of been quite a sight! Angled deck and all...

For myself, I finally got a decent trap tonight, out of ohhh maybe twenty tries. The good thing for us is that we have do overs. Kept whacking that fantail. Ouch!
