• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Ships Add-Ons

Description: SHB_HMS_Stanley by UncleTgt
This is simply a repaint for the Virtual Navy's USS_Ward class DD, part of their original Pearl Harbour project.
All I've done is to create a repaint in Western Approaches camoflage & changed the alliegance to GB to represent one of the 50 Flushdeckers that were transferred to the UK during the Battle of The Atlantic.
It's aloose representation, as these ships were heavily modified during the war. Captain Walker's first convoy escort command was in one such ship, HMS Stanley, & he was sailing in her during the passage of convoy HG76 from Gibraltar to UK in DEC 41.
I've uploaded as a complete vessel purely for simplicity, the base vessel is the VN_Ward with all the relevant folder names & mdl file name changes made so she will show up in the game.
Installation :
Unzip to a separate folder and:
1. copy the contents of the Combat Flight Simulator 2/Ships folder from the downloaded folder
in your Combat Flight Simulator 2/Ships folder.
Thanks to:
The Virtual Navy for an excellent ship - it just needed some warpaint to suit.
