Hello,

By chance I discovered that VOZ 1.8 was now paying and no more freeware (since the disappearance of the Australian website where it was freeware)
It is a shame to sell a freeware addon !

Going the ORBX way for a dated flightsim? obviously they're in need of cashflow! ;)

EDIT: or is this piracy? I mean, is someone trying to make money of other people's work?

The Vista Australis Project (VOZ) is first and foremost a community project by Australian flight simulation enthusiasts for the benefit of our hobby in this wonderful country of ours. Founded in 2005 by John Venema of Orbx Simulation Systems, the project has grown to include a great team of developers and testers who put hundreds upon hundreds of hours each into continuing to develop VOZ as it is today.

Version 1.8 of Vista Australis, is the eagerly anticipated final installment of the globally successful VOZ freeware FS2004 project for Australia which enjoys over 300,000 users worldwide. VOZ 1.8 now includes over 175 airports, 75 scenery areas, unique textures for the entire country with seasonal variations, and updates all the major capital city international airports. It also includes many large areas in stunning photoreal 4.8m terrain, including 2,500km sq. of photoreal terrain around Tamworth.

VOZ 1.8 is freeware and is available to download from the Vista Australis website. This product is provided with permission and at minimal profit for those users who have trouble downloading the large distribution files or for those who simply would like a backup copy on disk.

The disk contains the VOZ 1.8 Complete release along with the VOZ AI 1.20 package and is delivered on an un-printed CD in a plain white disk envelope.

A$9.95 is not that bad for P&P, especially when the 'Pacific Peso' is currently worth US$00.74.
I'd caution anyone against uploading it for 'free', that would be frowned upon.
