Vrijwilligers gevraagd voor maken Nederlandse Addon voor CFS3 ETO Expansion

With all due respect, this is a dedicated Over Flanders Fields forum. Although we do have one member on the ETO team, I don't think this is the place to solicite folks for a new add-on to ETO. Perhaps the CFS3 board would be a better place.

A request has been posted on every subforum on the SOH and visitors of this forum should decide for themself if they have anything to contribute or if they're willing to cooperate. The OFF forum has been part of the CFS 3 forum for a while and you did not hear me complain about it either...

I really don't understand the tone or reason for your reply, I'm simply pointing out that ETO is primarily WWII, and most of the members that come here, come to read about WWI stuff. If I wanted to visit another SOH forum based on WWII stuff, I would do that. Many of our members fly several types of sims, but come here to talk about WWI and Bi-planes.

That's all I am saying. It's like recruiting a Speed Metal drummer on a Classical Violinist site. Yes, they are both musical, and have a common interest, but it makes no sense.

Good luck on the expansion pack. I'm looking forward to the time to play ETO myself one day.

You'd be amazed how many metal/punk/hardcore/gabberhouse muscisians I know spent time on a conservatorium being educated as classical or jazz guitarplayer/pianist etc etc.

Again, what doesn't make sence to you makes could make sences for others. Some of the stuff that will be in the Dutch addon was originally designed for FS 2004/FSX etc, wich is another type of sim then CFS 3.
If I never bothered to look behind my own CFS 3 frontiers I never would have noticed that

All I'm asking here if there are some people who would like to join, or have some stuff to donate so my reasons to post this request in this forum is legitimate.

And your opinion is your opinion, I respect that, but your opinion might not count for this whole OFF community.

The earliest era in CFS3 ETO is 1936. Dutch military outphased the Fokker D7 as a trainer between 1936 and 1939.

I'm not in the mood for a useless discussion, please leave it and let others who might want to contribute/donate stuff decide for themself

The ETO addon is worth checking out, I might do the same with OFF one day....

Take it easy, Foute Man was just asking for volunteers. Regardless of what era, their both part of CFS3:jump:
 
I can see you both totally misunderstood me. Not unusual, as this is a forum and not a personal face-to-face conversation. It happens all the time.

But since someone is 'not in the mood' -whatever that means... I'll close it by saying that normally a WWI sim attracts folks that like WWI games... the best chance to recruit anyone for a WWII sim is on a WWII based sim board.

I didn't say NOT to post here... or did you miss that... I am saying a better chance to find members or parties interested in a WWII mod is on a WWII based sim board.

Jeeze... I even thanked you for posting in the first place... so who really needs to take it easy... a little touchy are we?

PS... Nio's post was a self-opinionated review of OFF... not a recruitment posting on a forum. Again, I didn't care that a post was made, I am just offering friendly advice to where you would find more parties interested. I guess I'm not allowed to do that on a forum I've been a member on since... ah... 2005?

I know Foute Man in person for a very long time now and learned to live with this from time to time bad tempered motherfuc:censored:ker throughout the years. I also know him as being very passionate in the things he does, sometimes to much passion and with a pencil that has been made to sharp, but his heart is made of gold, I can tell you.
All we wanted as a team (and Foute Man is our famous spokesmen on the SOH) was to ask around if any SOH member, no matter what sim he/she is flying, might have some stuff to share.
The question should have been: Does anybody have some stuff to share for a Dutch ETO addon like buildings, ships, effects or perhaps (and in case of this forum) a Fokker D7 for 1930 training missions

Hey look, it's no big deal, really. Me being one of the OFF Dev's simply looked at the title of the post (I can't read Dutch/German anyway) and was wondering what it was. At first look, I thought it was spam to be honest. But once I read it, I thought, well, good idea... but wrong forum. I thought I'd help out, and let him know. I wasn't sure if he knew this was primarily a WWI forum or not... that's all... no more... no less.

What happened after that... happens. No biggie.

Thanks for stopping in and being a showman for your buddy. You and the rest of the world are welcome here anytime, we don't own the forum. But again, we mostly chew the rag about WWI stuff... now and then Gimp goes on a whimp and we get some other cool stuff too, but it's usually WWI subjects.
