I fear I'm posting in the wrong area and this query has probably been asked and answered many times... my apologies.
Only just got W7 Pro 64 Bit - no upgrade, brand-new rig. I opted for the Pro version being aware of the fact it would allow me to run FS2004 as well as FSX.
Without a hitch installed FS2004 on drive C but not in the Program Folder. The installation folder I created I named 0FS2004
FS9 works fine: I have NOT yet added any 3rd party add-ons of any kind. Just remembered the XP compatibility mode and found it via:
Control Panel - (Category View) - Programs - Programs and Features - Run programs made for previous versions of Windows.
Now the Program Compatibility dialogue box pops up.
My question then is: Should I use this option before I begin installing my add-ons?
Many thanks in advance for any suggestion(s) and be so kind to advise me were to post queries of this nature in the future.
