Waiting for the Milviz MU-2 Solitaire....

ColoKent

SOH-CM-2024
....with baited breath, assuming it will be P3D compatible.

But in the meantime...I am looking for a high quality corporate twin to tide me over. Any opinions on what I should get?

BTW - I already have the Milviz B-350 and the Real Air Turbo Duke...

Thanks,

Kent

Milviz MU-2 Solitaire vs McPhat Fokker 50

Well...yeah, I have to agree with you TOTALLY-- I also am waiting for McPhat's Fokker 50 BIGTIME (Being a die-hard F-27 fan)!!!! Different category airplane, though. :greenbounce:

Kent

P.S. And as for the Avanti??? I LOVE that airplane and will buy it too! (What can I say? I'm weak when it comes to Flight Sim airplanes!!!!)

Milviz MU-2 Solitaire, C-130J Super Hercules, P-180 Avanti BIGTIME!!!!

MILVIZ keeps teasing us with so many exciting airframes! The Super King Air, The Piaggio Avanti. (I'm not mentioning the F-100 because I get faint at the thought) They are working on the deHavilland Beaver which is a "Must Have." The waiting for these products is torture! I hope they realize that some of us have the money burning a hole in our pockets to spend on these FSX/P3D models. Milviz so cruelly teased awhile back Cessna Bobcat. I fear that will end up another great unanswered prayer like the Aerosoft Ju-52 that was teased and forgotten. But we WAIT......

Milviz -- Forget about them untill they finish something. That avoids torture. I to am looking forward to a few things from them that may happen one day in the future. But untill that day I forget about them and I´m NOT going to buy any beta product from them that is later on being retreived... Thats criminal business policy and we shouldnt accept that.

Meanwhile you want something different. If you can live with the slightly lower quality texturing, I find the Flysimware MU-2 to be very addictive. I really like its flightdynamics and the VC is pretty good. The rear cabin I dont look at, so i dont care.
It has just been for sale, maybe still is somewhere and will be for sale somewhere else very soon.
The default repaints are dull and few made repaints for it, but I like this Jap:

Yes, the FlySimWare Mu-2 is one of my favorite aircrafts in my hangar currently.
It's really not up to today's graphic standards at all, that's for sure. But nevertheless the external model is quite nice and the virtual cockpit is fully 3D.
In a general way, their 3D modeling is quite good, but their textures quality, both for inside and outside models, are lacking the quality that plane desserves.
The strong point of this aircraft is the realism. The cockpit instruments and the engine management are both quite good, and the latest version of the plane have quite a nice flight model too.
My favorite thing is probably the engine RPM handling. Even though it's simplified (just three positions: off, taxi and cruise), it's already much better than the default turboprops planes...

PS: it's still 50% off at PCAVIATOR: http://www.pcaviator.com/store/product.php?productid=20445&cat=904&page=1
I wouldn't recommend you to buy it full price, because it's way too much expensive. But this sale, soon to be over, brings it down to a very good price/quality ratio :)

Dear donnybalonny,

This is not acceptable. SOH does not promote mud slinging at or name-calling of flight simulation developers or even accusations of "criminal" policies. Nobody is forced to buy beta models, and those who do so surely have valid reasons to take that step.

You might have reasons to not engage in a practice like that, but this remark about the business policy is way over the top.

Totally agree with you Mark. It is comments like these that drive developers away from FS.

Now there are three moderators responding to this. Donnybalonny, you are treading on very thin ice. Consider this a warning of the highest nature. This kind of thing is usually sent in a private message. I post it here for two reasons, first to reassure developers we don't allow this sort of thing. Second to let the public know SOH stands by its policies.

And as I make up the fifth staff member I'll add my thoughts, if you can't say anything positive then say nothing.
Nada.
Zip.
You will follow the forum rules or there will be consequences.

All,

Forgot to add at the onset that I already have the Flysimware MU-2-- sorry for any confusion. The other exchanges on here have been extremely enlightening as well.

Thanks everybody,

Kent

I've got a hunch the CONSEQUENCES have already landed DonnyBalonny. SOH is friendly to developers and all remarks must be constructive with no harm intended. If there is an issue with a developer the proper way to address is private PM if available or on THEIR support site.

Production at Milviz is an assembly line process. I'm tasked with completing the King Air, the Bobcat and the Beaver, once the modeling, texturing, avionics and FDE developments are completed. :encouragement:

While waiting for those aforementioned projects to be made available to me, I'm not sitting on my hands. I'm busy updating some of our current product line to install into Prepar3Dv1, v2, and v3

And Each one of those new installers has to be tested to ensure nothing is overlooked. MilViz is VERY busy :)
