Wallmartians

I think most of us have received email links through out the years showing these type of individuals who shop (inhabit?) WalMart stores. I'm not too sure if they dress up (or down?) to purposely get photographed which might make it eventually onto the internet. Not to get too preachy,....but remember,....we're all God's children no matter how we dress or exhibit ourselves.
 
everytime i see these walmartian's pics...i think...geeeze...me with my 460 pounds...my big belly...sweat pants...t-shirts....how much i must look like these people......:icon_eek:
 
It May help if all ,those viewing this America, from the high perch of criticism,..To TAKE OF ALL YER CLOTHES ,GO TO A FULL MIRROR,AND HAVE A GOOD LAUGH!..Then Post it here so we all can snicker at you!!
 
I know what you mean, Daveroo... I'm not quite that heavy (about 260 lbs), but I do have enough self-respect and pride in my appearance not to allow half my ass to show when bending over, much less while standing up more or less straight... :salute:

Actually it was one of His more eccentric children who gave me my only dose of Wal-Mart weirdness last year, as she roamed the store hollering "Praise be to God Almighty!" at the top of her lungs. :icon_lol: Other than people who just look dysfunctional in general, My local Wally World is pretty much free of those extreme WalMartians on the website.

having grown up in a multitasking family as ive stated on these pages manytimes ,grandpa,dad and i were all plumbers in grandpas plumbing business..one time my dad was on his knees and head under a kitchen sink..this woman in her 90s..it was her house...she walked up behind him without saying a word..stuck the end of her cane down his "crack" and announced...pull those britches up boy..or ill do it for you!!!.....my grandfather fell out of his chair he was laughing so hard,and yes all three of us were at the house.....dont ask...was a bad day in blackrock....

Why yes,often..whats the point of yer inquiry?..Yer Black rock story funny..Seen advertisements for long shirts to correct those Crack Jobs!...its just I do not think taking advantage of peoples personnel problems are funny. Would shopping at MACY'S be different? Are Walmart Shoppers different than other people?..Whats next to laugh at? the Lame,Crippled and other human frailties????....To night seen a TV story of a women over 800 pounds...An unmovable huge mountain of flesh,the most tragic think ya wanna see...she cried..hopeless in her misery..Her condition beyond her control.Only the love of her family sustained her!.Our complex human bodies always do not work as they should !!Nothing funny about that.....Have fun ,Daveroo..keep the posts coming...Vin!!

The answer to that question is yes they are.

In the same area within two miles there are two stores.

Walmart and Publix (local grocery store chain)

At the Walmart store the carts always have brand new wheels on them but they are bent and have flat spots on them all the time. The store tries to maintain their carts but the customers just keep beating them up at an alarming rate. How do they do this. No one uses the cart returns at the store. When someone comes in with a vehicle and a cart is in their spot they push it whit their car. Normally not in the direction it would want to roll either so the wheels brand new wheels get nice fresh flat spots on them.

At the Publix store there are no cart returns and I have never found one with bad wheels. The carts always push silently through the store not with the THUMP THUMP THUMP that the Walmart carts have.

What is the difference in the two stores. Walmart having slightly cheaper prices attracts a larger diversity of customers. The lower end customers don't really care about their car or the carts.

The interesting thing about that is there has to be someone enabling them. An 800 lb person who can not move from the bed cannot get to food to feed themselves. Someone must bring it to them. That person is as much to blame for their condition as the 800 lb person.

well i guess maybe i missed your original point..i was identifying with the people of walmart as they call them,at 460 pounds..i wont leave my yard (backyard really) unless i absolutly have to,i dont want to participate in family gatherings anymore..of anykind..my hobby for the last few years had been airshows,,i dont even want to go to those anymore for fear i look bad in my sweats and t-shirts,( atleast i now wear a colored shirt with a pocket,not just a plain white under shirt,which most were threadbare),im a member of the military vehicle preservation association,and i want badly to go to "Camp Delta" ,california's largest gathering,but i cant for a couple of reasons..but one is ..im just to fat..the otherday i got an invitation to Joe Bailon's (Mr Candy apple red) car show in september,which i more than likely will not go to,but i want to very much....i called a DR Hernried,a wieght loss specialist monday..filled out the forms and emailed them back...waiting for a consultation appointment now,,,but he only accepts medicare,not medical and i doubt i can afford the co-pay,plus when i talked to my father about it...he got mad and started to complain that it would be a pain for him if he has to take me to rosevile weekly for meetings/appointments....and then my mother started in on i can cook better..no need to use someone elses food......kinda hurt me....i mean just that night i heard her say to my father in the kitchen...its a rice dish,,you and i will use the small bowls..we will give davey the big bowl because he eats more......DAMN IT i dont want to eat more......give me less.....please....if you give me the larger serving im going to eat it all....so serve me less.......and this whole thing of me not having food in my rv is an effort for me NOT to eat unless its time to eat a meal....

Two points here.
1. The "flat spots" on the wheels is generally caused by the young people who bring those carts back into the store in large quantities, so that when they have to turn this long line of carts, they end up dragging the carts (and of course, the wheels) across the pavement, etc. creating those annoying flat spots. Publix does a better job of gathering up their carts, so therefore less flat spots.
2. What we need here in the USA is a "deposit" system, like they do in Europe (at least Germany). The grocery chain Aldi's (SP) does this here locally, and guess what? No carts left out in the parking lot. Let's face it. We all want our money back if we can get it....

I really like the "Aldi Cart System" and wish every store that provides carts would adopt the same system. Of course for store like Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc. who have huge parking lots, there'd have to be multiple 'docking stations' around, otherwise folks would get really annoyed having to make the long walk to return their cart! :ernae:
