I am looking for an long hull Essex Class Carrier likethe USS Leyte CV-32. There was someone building a nice one about four years ago in England. I don't know if he ever finished it or not.
Also any pictures of NAS Jacksonville in the 1940s would be much appreciated.

If you find a photo online you can look in the photo arcives and see if they have it. They are list by the number. Some are online, others you have to ask for. I think they do things different for veterans when it comes to cost. I'm only an Ex-Navy brat so I'd have to pay.

I'll let you know if I find anything else.

I was born in the hospitol at Jax. Dad was stationed there in the 70's. I'll see if he has anything.

HD,

If you are looking for an FSX Essex class CV, this CV-45 straight deck model is quite good. Their is also a USS Boxer very similar to it in the SOH Library.

Thanks everybody for your help. I've ordered the book and downloaded both carriers. Although the A1-E came out after I was in, it was a great screen shot. Now if I could only find a SB2C for FSX, life would be complete.

HD,
I previewed the Arcadia book book at the Amazon website and unfortunately they only let me see the chapter on Jax's beginnings as an army post. However if the NAS history is as well documented with pics as the Army chapter I think you will enjoy it. :encouragement:
