I finally buckled and bought Bomber_12th's P-51B for FSX in the sale for half price. Good for that price so I modified the FS9 paint kit to 2048 x 2048 and replaced all the stencils. And yes, activation was a bit fraught but I got there. The biggest problem is the no-show of textures not just in the FSX selection panel, but in FS Repaint and in AI/FSRecorder flights unless you're flying it.

This is about done. It represents P-51B-5-NA 43-6319 in early 1945, used by the 38th FS/55th FG as a hack and for training, the so-called 'Clobber College'. It was finally written off in a take-off accident at Turnhouse in Scotland in June 1945.

Let's hope I'll have mine up and running again soon, so far no luck reinstalling...
