Warbirdsim P-51B Rebel Queen - VF*C

The Warbirdsim P-51. A fine representation. I had to laugh. I started downloading a couple paints. I don't even have the model.:icon_lol: LDF & Epsillon, your work is great!!
 
Thanks everyone. This is one hum-dinger of a model and with the amazing paintkit there's no reason why practically every "B/C" ever built can't be "texturized" ;) if the desire is there and the right references are available.

:icon_lol: I know what you mean, OleBoy! I had everything Eps had cranked out right up to the time I got mine. :d

It looks great, LDF!
but I have one comment, if you don't mind.
I see that the engine covers surrounding the exhaust are darker in your textures. On a bare metal aircraft, that would make sense, as these are steel plates, not aluminium.
On a camouflaged aircraft on the other hand....everything would be painted over, so they shouldn't be darker...I think...?
What am I doing? I don't even have this model....
OK, I admit, I downloaded a few of those textures too...
Where is this FSX version???

Hi Jan Kees,

Thanks for your comment. Any and all constructive criticism is welcome, as well as any tips and tutelage that may be offered, and I agree with your comment. That's one area I'm working on, along with the darker areas on the lower fuselage aft of the wing, and a couple o' other areas as well. Still tweaking.

Hey WH ~

Thanks. It's getting there, slowly but surely. Just having to learn my way around the paintkit textures (and work and other real life stuff getting in the way of FUN!). Once I get these tweaks worked out to my satisfaction, hopefully over the next weekend, the Rebel Queen will be uploaded. I just want to try and get it as right as I can the first time because I will be using these repainted textures for more repaints.
