    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Was there a patch to original vanilla CFS2 out of the box?

Hi all - Had to replace HD recently and am on long road on trying to reinstall CFS2. Previously had working fine on Win7 64 Bit Professional OS. Now have same hardware but Win7 Home Premium. I can't remember if there is a basic patch to be installed after intial install. And I still have some more of the tricks to try outlined in the forums here.......oh, and I have heard mention here of a separate patch, possibly from microsoft, to fix black screen problem when starting in XP or 7, I believe....member's memory was vague on that one

...is it possible that you may be thinking of the "unofficial CFS2 patch" that was a upload by Corsair_Freak that installed all the cumulative effect fixes up to, I believe, 2005? (Nibbio, etc.)
