Water match for weather conditions?

Is anyone aware of any program that will match wave conditions in FS9 to those of the real-time weather above the water? It's a little disconcerting to fly into a hurricane and see perfectly calm water beneath your aircraft. Is there anything out there, any enhancement, that will key water activity to downloaded weather conditions?

I hope someone with more knowledge will jump in, I'd like to find one also.

As far as I know the wave configuration is set by a file in your main texture folder called "OceanHeightField". This can be changed, but I don't think there is any way to make it dynamic.

I've never seen anything that looked like really big waves. There are water textures that will give a whitecap appearance, but again it would be a permanent look until you changed it back.

I tried some Bill Lyons whitecap textures once, but I didn't care for them.

I hope someone points you to something more helpful.

I think the latest version of ActiveSky and GEPro both do have that capability. I use ActiveSky but because it is situated on a second PC it has some issues with that texture swap that I have not quite sorted yet. I think it is not a program fault as much as the way my home network is setup and how W7 deals with external access to files on it's drive.

Cheers
Stefan

REX FS9 does that too. Not real-time, I suppose, but good enough if you know what kind of weather you'll be flying in before you load the sim.
