Here's an interesting one. I've finally gotten around to installing the ACG Wattisham 1991 ORBX-friendly package.
It's gone well - but I seem to be lacking hangars. Hangar 4 is shown above (sort of), but the others are simply not there.

Any clues? Am I missing a library set in P3D v2?

Dave

If it would be a missing library that partly visible hangar wouldn't show at all, and you would get a missing object error in the P3D error log (if activated).

I suppose it could be a drawcall batching problem if these hangars share the same texture. I had this problem with my own sceneries for a while and it almost drove me nuts. Took me a year to figure that out! The only way to fix it (if my diagnosis is right) is to extract the models out of the library bgl in mcx, recompile the models with drawcallbatching=off in the MCX options, and then pack them into a bgl again.

You need to have SODE (freeware) installed:

http://sode.12bpilot.ch/

What you're not seeing are the exterior models, which are textured according to season. Without them in place (loaded by SODE) what you're seeing is just the interiors. As these are single-sided only the far walls are rendered. This was all part of the seasonal textures (inc. the photoscenery).

Interesting, SODE as a seasonal controller didn't come to my mind :)

SODE (latest version) is installed and running, and the ACG_Wattisham,XML is where it's supposed to be. There's no mention of the hangar objects/textures in the XML, though.

further to this, the SODE log is showing "ERROR SODE.FSLOOP : SimConnect EXCEPTION! ID=3".

What's interesting is that this all works perfectly in FSXA, and the log there is clean.

Do you have Simconnect running under P3D? I seem to remember that you have to install it seperately. It's not part of the default client installation.

Cheers,

SimConnectP3D2.dll is present in the P3Dv2 modules directory, so I assume so.

Is there another way to check?

Even more to this:

I've installed Wildlife+ (available from the avsim library), and this shows a big button that reflects the status of simconnect (red=down/green=up).
I'm getting solid green.
