I downloaded SHD wave Animation for DX9 set 1- larger swell for Fsx and it has messed with the water in the game from a distance it looks awful. Looks like black rolling dust. When you fly in closer its gone and the waves look normal. My question is can I put my FSX CD in and do a repair to fix the problem or will doing a fix mess with all my other downloads that I have installed ?
 
I'm not familiar with that wave set, but is there a way to simply uninstall the waveset and revert back to the original?:salute:
 
Guess you didnt read the included readme file that asks you to back up the files that set replaces before installing it?

Did you try those files with there included FSWC preset?
you'll find after setting that in FSWC a lot of the simmering is removed

anyhows heres some replacement org water files for you

just unpack them and then copy them to your fsx\texture\ dir
 
Thanks Falcon 409 .Gizmo has saved me from drowning! Gizmo thank you very much :applause:.The files worked. My game is back to normal. The next time I will read closer and back my original files up.
