WBS P-51B The Hun Hunter - Texas...

Very nice indeed...:icon29:

Although I must admit that I don't have this plane in my hangar (yet...:kilroy:), any Mustang paint job which is not partly or almost totally silverized gets my complete and total admiration...:applause:
and gets me closer to getting it for keeps.

And your "Hun Hunter" from Texas is one such very good exemple...

Keep up the good work !

Cheers Duckie,

A beautiful well weathered repaint for a beautiful thoroughbred aircraft. Thank you Duckie. I see there are traces of what used to be a white band on the tail..very well done!! Questions for you Duckie: Didn't it have other names painted on its nose as well? What was the signifinance of the letter "c" on its tail tip?

Hi Mark,

"The Bulldogs", the 354 FS nickname, was added in white script sometime after Brown became an ACE in April '44. The photo I used for this texture with 4 air victories, doesn't have it. Another photo of WR*Z with full Invasion Stripes does show it to have "The Bulldogs" just aft of the white nose band and above the exhaust shroud on the left side.

Not sure what the "C" indicates on the tail...C Flight?...not sure...
