A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - France

Description: WD Farman F222 for CFS2 by UncleTgt

This is a revamp of William Dicken's Farman F222 for CFS2.

The pack includes a brand new airfile, plus WIN 7 safe panels. The sounds are Lawdogs Gnome-Rhone sounds configured for a quad-engine installation. The dp uses Kelti exhaust effects, Alain Breton's French bombs & Shessi's Leaflets. The panel includes a basic bombsight view developed from the Alphasim Bombsight. Use the GPS icon in the 2D panel view to access, & F4 to return to flying views afterwards. It is uploaded as a complete aircraft for ease of installation to CFS2.

The textures included are:

L159 "8" of GB II/15 circa September 1939.

The same aircraft circa May 1940.

a/c nr."3" of Aeronavale Escadrille 10E, used for Maritime patrol from North & West African bases circa July 1940.

a/c nr."2" also of Escadrille 10E circa October 1940.

A transport of GC I/15 seen at Rabat Morocco during the summer of 1942.

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.

Thanks to: Bismark 13 for the original Farman F222.

Kelticheart for his exhaust effects & prop bitmaps.

Alain Breton for the French bombs.

Shessi for developing the leaflet weapon.

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.

John,

Many thank yous for this. You will be happy to know that I am making excellent progress, (twenty out of thirty-two missions completely done, with another two partially completed) and that I should be sending out a beta-testing package hopefully by the end of this week, or the weekend.

There are still a couple of aircraft that need serious tweaking, including the FDG P-36 Hawk, Dewoitine D.510, (though I've had thoughts about switching this to an MS.406 simply because the other model is archaic) and the Dewoitine D.376 by Baldy.

I've also gotten quite adept at writing fiction for this project...
