We Need One For FS9...

How about one of each? I would really love to have the AT-10. And an AT-9 with a VC.

I love trainer aircraft...especially those with round motors.

There is an AT-11 Kansan available, with a rudimentary VC. AT-6 by Alphasim, Wozza, and about a gazillion other people (I use Wozza's cause it is superb and FREEEEEEE!). Paul Clawson did the BT-13 Vultee Vibrator...which is a real joy to fly around in. Dave Eckart's Stearman Kaydet is totally top notch.

Anyone know of any other radial trainers that I have over looked.

Oops, I see that I somehow managed to go just a wee bit Off Topic. Sorry. Breathed in too many mulch fumes while working on the flower garden today.

...other radial trainers...

Avro Anson,
TB-25,
AT-12 Guardsman
(not in FS - would be nice to have),
TB-50 (ok, so it's a bit more than a 'basic' trainer but too big to overlook)
AT-7 ( another version of the Beech 18/C-45)

Yes, the T-50 from AlphaSim was released as freeware ( and there's even a "Songbird" paint for Sky King fans)

Back to the PZL I-22 Iryda - the problem is the same as many a/c... designers put a lot of time into a project. Few are as attractive as the Grizz and it has to catch the audience's imagination. With FS9 seeming to have a long, unobstructed future now it may happen as modelers look for new challenges.

I have the AlphaSim T-50...never heard it called the Bamboo Bomber before. Much neater name than Bobcat. Sweet little plane to fly around in, and it comes as a floater as well.

Yep, I agree that Mike Stone's T-9 is a great flier...the modeling is superb (as it is on all of his planes). Just wish it had a VC....but I accept it as it is and fly it at least twice a week...love that little twin radial plane.

yeah she's a good aircraft, i still do repaints for it... mostly fictional, but got a USAAC trainer sheme lined up (the red horizontal stripes on the rudder), and a few other fictional private ones... back to work Matt :icon_lol: i don't know first the Grizzly now talking about the AT-9, what a start to the week :jump:

Grumman G44 Widgeon/Gosling, one of my favs, is there one? I have the JF one, and quite like it, dated, but nice. A bu**er to repaint though!! Is there a newer freeware one, or payware for that matter?

Joe Binka has a nice Widgeon out...two of them actually. One is the G44 with the Lycoming/Briggs and Stratton/I really don't know inline engines. The other is the G44A with the radial engines....very very nice. The updated G44A has a VC that is pretty nice while the G44 does not have a VC. I have not taken a real look at the texture files, so can not give any statement about the repaintability of these planes...but knowing some of Joe's other planes..I would imagine that they are set up for fairly easy repaints.

You can find Joe's Widgeons on Flightsim.com

Cheers Obio,

will look into it, pity about the G44 not having a VC, that's the one I wanted. The JF one is okay then, lol. My first repaint for a while, made highly frustrating by the use of mirrored texs and decals!! She's coming along though.

love and kisses,
Jamie

PZL I-22 Iryda. . . .Just a thought ...
Mike
Hmm, mentions that this airplane replaced the Iskra. . . .I happen to have one of those in the hangar I work in. The paint job is butt ugly, but as a reference it would be ideal. I could supply tons of pics of anything and everything. . . .just a thought, lol.
