Wellington Mk III and Mk X

mongoose

SOH-CM-2025
Looking at Wellingtons still used after 8/42 these were to kinds used by the 400 RCAF Squadrons until at least 3/43.
I note that:-
I only find Mk IC versions
The main changes are engines (power) and a 4 303 gun rear turret.

Even so, I sort of suspect we will have to stick with the IC........

look what Santa left

James,

I have the wellington mesh........ What rear turret was fitted with the four 303s? Ok it had a FN 20, which I have made for several other planes. The engine upgrade would require a new carburetor inlet like the one I am doing for the Stirling mkiii. You just have to convince john to paint a few. He could use the old skins and modify but knowing him and the artist he is he would start anew I suspect....

:jump::applause:. That would be great. I didn't know that you had the mesh. So with the Stirling I & III, the Halifax II, III, and V, the Lancaster I & III (+ the ETO_Lanc_M3_Dam), I think we are covered for the BC heavy bombers from Sept '42- May '44 period and beyond!

sorta of,

What about the Electronic Warfare planes - 100 group if I am correct. They had Lancs, B17s and B24s

A peace of WW II history i knew nothing about. Thanks for sharing. Will do more research on this subject. Regards.Scott

I bought a copy of Confound and Destroy by Martin Streetly for my Birthday this year.

The main reason I have not considered the Electronic Warfare planes, is that I have not figured any way that they can can be simulated in CFS3, so if they can't, it seems a bit pointless to make missions for them. Steve has and is, I hope, done/doing a great job with A.I. and FUG radar, knickebein, and ILS, but that is a s far as it goes at the moment. I may be able to simulate Oboe and or Gee-H (using the knickebein?) in a crude way, and the same with H2S based on Joost's stuff, but even
'Monica', seems difficult, never mind active jamming beams.

Aside. We also have a Lanc Mk.V which I forgot.
