WGr 21 - GMAX, anybody?

Hit a bump. I wanted to fit a couple of 109s with WGr 21 tubes, but... The stock ones are too spindly, don't have the brackets modelled, and look rubbish. The GC/AvHistory/Dr ones are more accurate, but hang too low under the wings on the 109 - they were designed for the 110G and require a higher-mounted hardpoint.

So... Would anybody be able to knock out a similar tube to the GC/AvH/DR tubes, using the same texture map because I've already painted it, but which hangs in the right place, with the right upward angle, on the stock 109?

That would be very helpful!

You can have ours, Nigel.
Just drop me a pm with your e-mail addy.
The upward angle should be the same on any plane, btw.

Thanks, Mathias - On the way! As I can't GMAX well or easily, any chance of your doing the adjustment yourself? I think they need to be about 20cm higher or so at a rough guess...

I added the bit about the upward angle in case anybody went off to make one without realising it's not at 0 degrees...

I'm afraid I don't have the required tools installed anymore,
but I'm sure some of the fine modeller fellows here can help with this one.
If you do it alone just make sure to move everything but keep the dummy where it is.
E-mail send. :)

OK, thanks - keep the dummy where it is... Can't be that difficult! I'll give it a try.

IT WORKED!

Does this look better, or does this look better?

Hi Nigel,

That looks heaps better. well done.

I think I'll replace the stock CFS3 WGr-21 in each of my installs with this version once out.

regards Rob.

Nice one Nigel.

Wonder what sort of noise those produced in flight, if you've ever carried any sort of tube on a car roof rack you'll know what I mean!
