What aircraft can it be?

A friend of mine has obtained an R/C model aircraft. (Not had a chance to take pics yet).
It is in RAF markings.
Single engined (front mounted)
Single seat
Twin tail fined

Any ideas anyone? It looks 1940 ish style!

Try a GAL 45 Owlet... Except that it's a two seater.
