• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I'm new to making gauges, so I'd like to know exactly, am I " allowed" to use someon'e XML code for difficult gauges like superchargers, boost systems but do my own artwork? For freeware I create. What is the official word about what is available to me to go from? Thanks, I figured I'd like to start out on the good foot.

If there is XML coding you want to use to create gauges, contact the author of the coding/gauges and get their permission to use their coding. If they say "sure, go ahead", then you are good to go...just remember to give them credit for the coding and a thank you for their granting you the use of their work. If they say no.....then take a look at the stock FS9 XML based gauges....if there are gauges that do what you need.....pinch the coding from their and create your own art work......and just give credit to MS for the original coding.
