Zeppelin!?! :jump:

Watching 'Hell's Angels' again reminded me of how I used to love playing with that floating pig back in Phase 1 when it first came out.

I was just wondering, does anyone know why that awesome feature was removed? or if it will be included in that spectacular Phase 3 which will soon grace all of our freetime? More importantly, does anyone know if/where it can be downloaded as an addon aircraft for OFF?

I really miss just loading up a quick dogfight pitting me and a few other wingmen up against that daunting monster at night above the clouds...

well from the Zeppelin model in phase 1 i do not miss them. Wrong size, form, flying around like scared chicken without course, at 300 meters altitude. Place a few shots and boom, arcade-like.

When there once will be an airship that looks quality-wise like an SE5a in phase 3, does not fly zig-zag, or up and down in unbelievable angles, is able to defend itself, holding its course at an altitude of 22.000 feet (after 1917) i guess i would like it much more.:d

Honestly, i like those airships, but in their current state of appearance and AI they are no match against anything in "OFF".

There will be NO Zepplin in Phase 3 PERIOD, unless OBD makes their own, while I used to enjoy flying 500 feet above them, and dropping bombs onto them, from my SE5. The files were the property of a third party, not a member of the OFF Team, who gave his permission to use them in Phase 1.

The members of the OFF team, can't go around useing anything they'd like. That's called Stealing, they send people to jail for that. :d
 
I suspected it was a rights issue, that's a shame. I suppose it had its issues but I sure liked lighting that massive night-time torch! hehe

I DO NOT AGREE with your assesment Catfish. its a fine model and has provided countless hrs of enjoyment in both phase1 and 2.
and will for us in phase 3 as well. all you have to do is drop it in to your aircraft folder in any phase and its there for target or bombing.

Can't be sure, but PD had about 5 missions that were written for the Zep,
one of the missions contain the zep, you'll see it when you unzip the package. If you really want it ?:ernae:

just had to find this post again - sorry for my statement further up this post - i was wrong.:redf:
When i just saw this video i was really dumbstruck - i already made contact with the Zeppelin in phase 1, and never realized one would be even able to fly this "thing". As well i was only able to run phase 1 with a very old PC and very poor graphic settings.
So my apologies, and a big question -
does anyone know where to get the Zeppelin for OFF ? :kilroy: Hrrrmmm.

And .. what is this ETO expansion ?

and download the Hun Spy Insertion mission (mission number 1)......should find what you want with that.

ETO is the European Theatre of Operations a new mod for CFS3.....there's loads of threads in the main CFS3 forum about it........looks good, just haven't got round to installing it yet (too much real life in the way!)
