Hi all,

I cannot find any link to buy the Iris Pro Series F-15E, even the Iris website no mention about the F-15,it was like it never existed...

I visited the Metal2mesh website the same,no update almost 2 years and the link to F-15E Avionics Upgrade showing "sold out".

Please, what happened to this product? It looked like a good F-15 simulation. I didn´t check the Milviz F-15 since is only to FSX and I use P3D.

I thank you in advance,

Hamilton

I checked their Facebook page and the last mention of any F-15 was in Nov/Dec of 2011. At that time the release was imminent and then it simply stopped being talked about. No more pics, no discussion, nothing. Their website, which has changed so many times over the years that I finally quit going there because every time it changed I had to re-register, is a great place to go if you aren't looking for information, lol.

I found no mention of it on Simmarket. . .their aircraft section shows nothing on the F-15. Obviously you would like better news, but unless someone knows the inside scoop on what happened to that airplane (I have an inkling but not going there, lol), I suggest you consider it a lost cause.

As for the MilViz F-15E. . .yes it does say FSX is the prescribed platform. . .it also says this:

Use or installation of the products(s) referenced on this page in any other platform than that intended or shown above is not supported and may result in errors or a non-functioning product.

Maybe someone else can join in here and give some background on the airplane and it's use in P3D, hence the reason I hilited and underscored "may". As mentioned, it would not be supported were you to run into any problems, but if someone else can verify that it works perfectly in P3D then you "May" have an F-15E yet!! Just a suggestion.

I can confirm that the Milviz F-15 flies and functions very well in P3D V3. I didn't test thoroughly, but i did notice there are some issues with weapons capabilities, and I have read others had the same experience. As a pure jet though, no issues.

There was previously a conflict with TacPack because the F-15 wasn't designed to use TacPack, as it came with it's own built in weapons systems. Just after the TacPack release there was an alternative dll posted for the F-15 to be used with TacPack installed. Not necessary for all users, but it may overcome a conflict between the two programs.

Here is another post by Gibo with some more insight in to the Milviz F-15E in P3D V3.4
