What if: Dutch F-16C & D Block 52

Warrant

Videre Vincere Est
Imagine yourselfes:

Socialists win the June 9th parliament elections in Holland. Within a year the JSF acquisition is cancelled by prime minister Cohen, and defense budgets are cut by 20%.
However, in order to sustain future peace keeping operations the left-wing government decides to reduce the number of fighters instead of totally crossing them off. To upkeep current capabilities, and slightly increase them in order to keep the right-wing opposition (led by Wilders and Rutte) happy: all airframes are replaced by F-16C/D airframes up to block52 standard. An agitated, fearsome yet robust (anti) secretary of state for defence, Krista van Velzen accepts a backseat in one of the newly procured F-16D's (equipped with the standart set of pliers, a hammer and spraypaint :kilroy:)and takes these shot's:

Edit: i like the Polish paint scematics, so i made a bunch in futuristic RNLAF colours.

The only future I imagine: Our last F-16 will either drop from the sky or be grounded by 2020, no replacement will be in sight because our government keeps pushing the decision forward. Doesn't matter anyway because the JSF will be too expensive anyway and no other company, including Saab, will want to sell us an aircraft anymore..

But nice paints nonetheless!

Solution: Eurofighter. :d

Hah! our government has been tossing & turning and requesting information for so long now that Eurofighter and Dassault won't even sell us an aircraft if our PM got down on his knees and begged. The only time he goes on his knees is to kiss America's butt anyway...

Woudn't mind a few squadrons of Gripen NG's though.. Though the F-15 'Silent Eagle' and F-18E Super Hornet might be tempting too.

Gripen yes please! Anything better than those ugly mutlitated F-16's. I just can't find any love for the new looks of that thing...hehe.
