Captain Blackhawk had flown an F3F-2?

Now, as soon as we get our file library back. Until then, tease, tease.............

It will not be authenic Brad, it will have guns and be a dash Two. But hey, who are we to say we can't!

Thanks Baz, finally found the strut and cabane maps, getting all right now, will upload to FlightSim until we get that back here. I think I can work the uniform and a Lady Hawk too, I have my textures in layers now, just a matter of switching colors. :ernae:

Ito-san made an authentic Gulfhawk with no guns, the early -1 powerplant & cowling, and the shorter F2F wing.

It looks great, but as with most Ito aircraft, you might want to substitute a different flight model.

FS2002/FS2004 Grumman G-22 Gulfhawk II. One of the most exciting aerobatic aircraft of the 1930s and 1940s was the Grumman Gulfhawk II, built by Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation for the Gulf Oil Companies. This sturdy civilian biplane, powered by a Wright Cyclone R-1820-GI 1000 hp engine and a three-blade Hamilton Standard propeller, nearly matched the F3F standard Navy fighter that was operational at that time. Modifications were made in the construction to withstand the high-load factors encountered during aerobatics and the aircraft was equipped for inverted flying for periods of up to half an hour. .....Same here.....

They'll show up as soon as we get our files back. I'll hold. I finished the Captain Blackhawk and did a Ladyhawk too. Something about the Ladyhawk reverse paint looks so Confederate. :wavey:

As I have been doing, I'll upload them to FlightSim for the time being and notify you guys.

Until the download library is back to 100% and we can download the proper flight dynamics for Mr. Ito's Gulfhawk II, I have made a stop gap set....all I did was take the config and air file for the AH F3F and apply them to the Gulfhawk II. Flies nice...and since the Gulfhawk II nearly matched the F3F in performance, they should be pretty close I would imagine.

I have a set of UV maps exported for the Gulfhawk II and will be looking at them and the original texture files...for a future project. Won't start on it yet...got some other fish in the pan I need to finish frying first.

You keep up the good work OBIO, I got this huckleberry covered, up early scanning and gathering some info. Went to bed at 9:00. It's my way. :running:

Real Old Salt did one and it's listed in the library, but the file cannot be found.
