What is D3dx8ab.dll?

Hi, I get an error while trying to reinstall FS Repaint: D3DX8AB.dll is not located in the system. Consequently the installer stops. Can someone tell me how to rectify this?

It's one of the directX files. don't know the solution to your problem unless you reinstall DirectX

unless you reinstall DirectX

I use WinXP SP3 and have the latest DirectX 9.0C installed
I don't found this file in my HD using the windows search tool (allowing also hidden files and folders)
Seem's it's a file needed for DirectX 8

Maybe your FSrepaint is a old version not compatible with DirectX 9
On what OS you run it before ?
