Unfortunate but not surprising that they closed shop (though one would think that they would make an announcement). I know their support has been non-existent for at least the last year, and they made a lot of false promises even before that....(that or their support was incompetent since they were down to one non-technical person who happened to always be away on business trips).
Anyway, it sounds like Cera Simulations is allegedly back in action (looking forward to their Dauphin), and I also hope to see more helicopters from Milviz...though I do regret the 407 purchase since it only starts up in fair weather - no wind conditions. Haven't experienced that limitation with any other models. Still looks nice though.
Here's hoping to see more high-fidelity helicopters in the future. I know they're not popular, but hopefully we won't see the extinction of rotorary-wing development for FS/P3D.
