• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

This month's Quota of Torpedoes

With the Short gone, what will become of all those bloody torpedoes ? :kilroy:

Hey, Gimpy, some of your message are just cryptic for me. My school English doesn't make always sense of everything.

I will attempt to clarify. In Phase 2 QC only, as there were no campaigns written for her, was a huge Floatplane called the Short, as that was the name of the folks that built her. She was a bomber, who could loadout with a torpedo, she also featured a working bombsight, and a bottle of Brandy for those chilly nights

I was reminded of her presence, by of all things, a pack of cigarettes on the dashboard of the FE2b :kilroy:

Also; not to worry. The RN has no shortage of torpedo boats. And the Imperial Navy no shortage of submarines. The torpedoes will not be wasted.

There have been suggestions that further improvements to OFF will include re-establishment of British home defense. In which case the Short float plane ( and one hopes, the equivalent Brandenberg) may fly again.
