I am bored and need a new flight or route to try. Something around 1-2 hours. Fighter type AC.

To answer the thread title question:
USN R2D-1 from San Luis to Point Mugu NAS.

Doesn't really match your subsequent criteria . . . :wiggle:

I have had the occasion to meet Col Anderson a couple of times at various events. A great gentleman and hero in my eyes. (and good flight idea!)

thats cool..hes an awesome person not just a great flyer...he lives just down from me,and hes a hell of a guy....

You're a lucky man. My great uncle flew P-51's in China. Got shot down and escaped and evaded with the help of the Communist Chinese. Got back to friendly lines the day they dropped the 1st A bomb. He's 91 years old still pretty spry. Going fishing with him in a couple weeks and will see him tomorrow on Memorial Day.

Please pass along my sincere thanks to your great uncle for his service during World War II. They were indeed the "Greatest Generation". Have a safe Memorial Day.

I've been flying around Laos a lot lately. With the new Freeware Mesh Asia the area looks quite authentic, and with real weather dialed in it is quite a challenge to negotiate your way to all the Lima sites (Xaviers Laos scenery).

Planes of choice are Ants T-28 (Raven FACs, Lao Air Force), Sibwings Bird Dog in Raven FAC livery, Piglets Turbo Porter Air America, Nemeth UH-1H in Air America livery, Nemeth Chinook, C-47 V2 in AA livery, C123K, CS C-130A, Miltons Beech D18 (C-45), and so on.

The list and the missions can be expanded when you fly into northern Laos from Udorn or Nakhon Phanom. F-100, F-4, F-105, Piglets great A1 Skyraider.

Cheers,
Mark

I must have been really bored yesterday (day off and the weather wasn't up to much). Been poodling around Egypt and the Med recently and yesterday, invested in Malta International v2 by Daniel Chircop. The airport itself is ok but Malta, like so many default islands is seriously poor. Grand Harbour isn't even there!!! Fortunately, you can download (for free) a couple of addon's from DC's site that bring the islands to life (new mesh, landclass, accurate coastlines and a host of other scenery). The downside is that they crucify my i5:banghead: You don't need the airport for these addon's to work which is kinda cool.
Yesterdays aircraft include RA Spit, Vertigo Bearcat, DG's Beaufighter, Nemeth/MV UH-1H, FS Sea Fury, Wozza's AT-6, WBS Mustang (Cat enabled), Piglets A-1H and the M2M Mirage for a blast from Sharm El Sheik across to Port Suez then up the Suez Canal to Port Said:encouragement:

Taking Concorde or the Tu-144 from LAX or SAN to Honolulu is always a fun flight, especially with mega-scenery. Really relaxing approach....
