'What's Good For Jimmie Johnson = Not Good For NASCAR?'

If NASCAR is suffering right now, it isn't because of what JJ is doing, that's for sure. NASCAR didn't suffer when Petty won 27 races in 1967, including 10 in a row,lol

NASCAR didn't suffer when the races were dominated at different times by Jr Johnson, Parsons, Earnhardt, Gordon, etc. NASCAR has bigger problems then that, one major one is the economy being in the dumper! This goofy Chase system sucks, the CoT sucks, NASCAR selling out to advertizers and big business sucks, their endless tv ads during a race sucks, ignorant cautions for no reason sucks, running the championship races during NFL broadcasts is a losing proposition and sucks, lol

Blaming JJ is a darn poor excuse for the problems NASCAR has, just look at the recent inductees into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, of the 5 who made it, 2 were from the France family? Like DW wrote, those 2 should have been automatically in there, without mucking up the voting process for others. And who in the hell decided that the votes should be cast by nominees, who served on the voting panel!!

Oh yeah, its all JJs fault! LMAO!!!!

Let's see, last season it was assumed that Kyle Busch would win nearly every race, yet he didn't win the championship. Jimmy Johnson most likely will win the championship for an unprecedented fourth time in a row and that's fine. Jimmy is a talented, skilled and mature driver, Chad is a talented, skilled, and mature crew chief, they work hard, practice hard, and don't make mistakes. Why should they not win? It's up to other teams to develop the same skills in order to compete.

As to the NASCAR Hall of Fame, it's long overdue and the France family certainly deserves a place at the head table, after all, if it wasn't for Big Bill France there probably would not be a NASCAR today. But the France family should not have been voted in, Big Bill certainly should have been installed as a founder, the votes should be strictly for car team members.

Yep, I must agree with that. I like the safety of the CoT, but it seems its exterior is too durable. You can bounce the darned thing off a wall at over 100 mph and all you get is scratched paint. I think the cars need to look a lot more like the street cars they are supposed to represent. It is called "stock car racing", there's nothing on them today that resembles a stock car.

I like the CoT in that it's more difficult to drive than the previous car that was used...

Hat's off to NASCAR for that! :applause:

But a lot easier than the cars from the 50's through 70's. I liked the old ones better, you could tell them apart at a glance.
