What's the best rigid airship for FS2004?

I've been looking at rigid airships for FS2004. Some of the blimps that are out there are rather cool but the larger rigid ships are what I'm talking about. The British R100 strikes my fancy although I can't find it anywhere so I'm assuming nobody has modeled it yet. Does anyone here have any experience with FS9 airships? Opinions?

Plugging "Zeppelin" into the AVSIM search engine will produce some good results, including airship scenery.

Bill Lyons' Graf Zeppelin is a very good one. Should be available at FlightSim.

Bill Lyons Graff, LZ-127....

I also found the Zeppelin NT by By Thomas Roehl, Joerg Hammes and Stefan Medelnik. Semi-rigid structure but still not a blimp. Couldn't stop myself from repainting it. All that blank space don't you know.

I've been using this as a dirigible trainer. Great fun and highly recommended!

No argument at all. The Lyons G21 Goose is one of my main rides. The quality is superb. The Graf Zeppelin though, it completely took my breath away.

I recommend most anything by Bill Lyons for FS9!

I'm with Willy - I still use the Tiger Moth and Piper Cub a lot, especially with Leon Louis repaints and Leon Louis scenery.

All you have to do is add an appropriate panel and sounds, change the AIR file to type 0, and those AI American ships can be made flyable too. The ZR-1 Shenandoah is neat, and the Metalclad ZMC-2 is something you don't see every day.

Yes, that really was a metal envelope on the ZMC-2! Sort of like a Lead Zeppelin...

It supposedly flew quite well, and apparently the only thing that prevented it from going into series production was the powerful political influence of Goodyear.
