This is the first year we have had any kind of mishap like this. Guess it will be time for the late evening trip to wal-mart to fix it. Just can't believe it. Guess we should of put them in the fridge, but at least we are getting a good laugh out of it.

LOL!!!!

How old are your children? I hope they weren't traumatized by seeing the bunnies all squished like a car ran over them! :icon_lol:

I had the same reaction, I busted out laughing! Here we are at the 11th hour and the darn chocolate bunnies are acting up!

Yes, thank goodness Walmart is open 24/7!

And so now comes the ultimate question ... Would C9G go to Wal-Mart in the 11th hour to repair this situation even though she detests shopping at Wal-Mart?

Hmmm .... Do they have 24/7 Target stores?

I might not like to shop at Walmart, but for a child who's Easter basket would be missing its chocolate bunny, you bet your bippee I would got to Walmart! I don't care if it was 3 in the morning, I would still go :)

Cloud9Gal you would absolutely love our upscale Walmart! You can actually get a sales person to help you. The coffee shop is awesome! There is a reading area for the bookstore.

Well the original bunnies were bought in a Target Supercenter... but unfortunately where the inlaws live (Beaufort, SC) the only thing for about 60 miles is a Wal-Mart Super Center. I am just suprised my wife took it so well. Just heard her bust out laughing and she showed them to me. ::facepalm:: Easily fixed situation though.

my mom, being catholic, was really into the whole easter basket thing. she used to make really elaborate ones for me and my bros and sisters. i would eat mine gone by dinner time. :icon_lol:

Our upscale Walmart is also a plus in our neighborhood. It has tile floors and always shiny. There is NEVER a line in the registry. Someone is always there to help. The bathroom is an A++. It is really clean and smelling fresh all (ALL) the time.

The staff is always friendly and very professional.
I have been trying to find people at Walmart in my neighborhood Walmart, but they seem not to be there when I am around.

Florida is one of the most friendliest people around. We greet everyone we get eye contact with.

... back to topic....

Roadburner,

Glad everything was resolved. Salute to your wife - and all wives - Women know the solution before the problem even sprout! :)

I once drove 43 miles one way to get my daughter a Easter bunny for Easter,
We spent our holiday's in Kentucky. At my gandparents, and forgot to pack the Chocolate Bunny for My daughter's basket....
So I jumped up early that morning drove to Morehead, Ky, the nearest big Town got Her two Easter bunny's and all was well again..
And when we returned to Ohio, she had another waiting for her..

I always felt cheated with hollow bunnies ...

One year though the folks bought solid bunnies ... talk about shock ... I went to bite the head off and came to a rock solid stop due to the thickness of the head.

Took almost 3 days to eat them things.

I like the idea of roadkill easter bunnies. LOL!
