• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

When using HUD I don't want the status text.

When using HUD I don't want the status text. By that I mean that listing of throttle, MG Rnds, Cannon Rnds, Bombs...

I was able to get rid of the display instruments but not this listing thing.

How do I do that?
 
Hi Uriah,

you cant actually turn it off, but what you can do is move the mouse cursor over the text, then left click and hold the mouse button down, then drag the text to one side.

If you grab the text right on eeh very right edge you could then drag the text all the way to the left of your screen so that only a very tiny portion of the text would be visible.

You can do this click and drag thing, with all th eitems in the HUD, I normally put the TAC screen right up in teh left corner, move my guages into a nice array along the bottom etc, you can place these items anywhere you like.

If you mean the blue text top right: it can be switched off - I think it's just "F5" to press.
 
Thanks Capt. That was what I needed to know. Olham, what I am after when I select the option of being able to see through my plane is just to see the gunsight and nothing else. This is kind of like EAW. (A plug here - a user group has made a major upgrade to that old game. Detail of graphics is still 1998 but it is a marvel to fly online with 30 AI on your side, 16 online pilots, and 60 enemy AI - AND be able to see bombers as black specks grow larger as they approach from 40,000 ft. - and little to no lag even with those on dial up).
