Ya know, the guy with the sunglasses, straw hat, lawn lounger and a cooler of cold ones who likes to hang out at airports and watch planes come and go. That Dude. I had him at one time, but don't have him now.

I can't remember if he had a VC that allowed folks to use their Track IR systems to "naturally" follow planes down the runway with their "eyes." Would like to find out for sure before I set myself the challenge of modeling a new airport watcher with a VC that would allow the use of Track IR to watch planes.

The last time I counted anyway, although the 1 Matt has is identical to one of JDT's.

You definately wont require his other two versions!

I'm sure they'll both be along presently with their cherished, pride and joys!

I remember "The Dude". I just cannot remember where I found him. I also modded the "panel" & put in a mp3 radio & a radar system to check out the AI planes. He has a 3d panel so TrackIR will work. He also has an opening beer cooler as well. Dang, just dunno where he lives now! But I have him parked off somewhere.
 
yeah you never get drunk while chasing skirts in scotland, don't wanna be staring at the last turkey in the shop...

never do it in some parts of Glasgow either.... :icon_lol:



i remember the dude, last time i saw him he was sat atop the acropolis, presumably looking for marauding persians :icon_lol:

As a recent TrackIR convert, I'd like to try that in a movie clip!

There's one in every airshow crowd...

Man this guy has travelled far and fast; he must be totally jet-lagged.
But he follows the planes with a TrackIR... a natural!

He's even showed up here in rural NW Tennessee at the local airport. I did sell him a different t-shirt though.
 
I'm going to have to get The Dude out of the Jimmy Buffet attire and into some more appropriate Hillbilly stuff. Denim or camo shorts, an Iron Maiden or AC/DC or Bob Seager shirt. Too bad I can't get rid of the cowboy hat and plop a nice ball cap on his head instead...I hate cowboy hats (not overly fond of anything cowboy related...being half Injun and all that bad blood between Injuns and Cowboys back in the day).

The Dude minus the Jimmy Buffet Key West look. Still need to do something to his hat.....maybe a nice Vietnam era Air Cav look...or one of those 70s era leather Go To Hell hats...but the brim is not nearly floppy enough for a GTH treatment.

OBIO, don't know if it will work but a few years back I experimented with using 100% black to make a helment on one of piglet's pilot figures dissappear and be replaced with a headset. Maybe if you blacked out selected parts of the hat, you could obtain a baseball cap look.

Didn't take him long to get settled in NZ, either.
That's an All Black rugby jersey he's wearing.
Everyone has them here because we, you know, won the World Cup...
No problems with the hat, anything goes.
