Where did you fly today?

Yeah!
That last pic tells it all...
Don't know if you were actually running reverse thrust but I believe it can be done in flight.
60kts straight down, and land on a postage stamp.
I love the ski-equipped version in the mountains.
Dial up a stiff breeze and hoverland, then turn it around and ski down the hill until it flies off by itself.

Called 'flight beta' mode, doesn't actually put prop in reverse,
but at such a low angle that it generates a negative thrust from the resultant vector, as the plane slows down, the effect reduces.

Any of you who fly using real-world weather should come to the Tidewater area today, it's beautiful here. Scat clouds, good visibility. Select NAS Norfolk (KNGU), Norfolk International (KORF), or NAS Oceana (KNTU). Have fun! :)

Hey All,

Carenado C206 KLWT to KRPX. Flyin over the prettiest area in the world is a good way to get back into the swing of FS. Been so long since I cranked up FS I've forgotten where the keys are! :icon_lol: Still can't find the map. Do remember how to land though. Forgot the camera though.

i flew my F-16 on a routine air patrol of Greek airspace :) until a turkish AI (FSrecorder) F-16 showed up so i played the intercept game :icon_lol:

Flew Milton's XA-38 "Grizz" from Cairns to Brisbane. Stopped along the way at Townsville to re-fuel and to grab a snack and a cup of joe. :d

Figured out the range of Carenado's Seneca, thus:
Starting from that superb Czech glider field Jesenicko, where I have been nonstop playing, I climbed to 9,500ft bearing west.
Set autopilot and got distracted by other stuff in the real world.
Many hours later remembered there was a flightsim running, and found the Piper out of fuel and crashed, virtually on top of London Gatwick.
Perhaps if I'd leaned the mixture a little more...:d

Thank god I was grounded today, er lucky I didn't fly.
I mowed the lawn at both my homes, dug a dead bird out of the oven exhaust vent, and doped my chimney flashing.

Tomorrow I work on the kitchen sink drain. I almost miss being a renter.

The only flying I have done the last couple of days was checking out progress while finalizing a paint template for the FSDB L10 Electra and testing out my new 2.1 channel speakers on my computer (verdict...they suck!). Really haven't done much flying at all this week...haven't had speakers on my system. I took my 5.1 channel system and hooked it up in the living room after unhooking the JVC A/V receiver and storing it away and selling my Kenwood 4 Channel Receiver and the Polk Audio floor speakers I have been using in the living room...they took up so much space (sounded great though...just too big). I really miss having ear numbing sound for my sims and games....but this little $14 set of speakers will do until April...when, as I have told Deb, that I will buy a new 5.1 channel set as my B--Day present.
