• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Where Is The Famous SOH Member, Please?

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Does anybody know where is the famous SOH member renowned for creating freeware FSX airport sceneries, please? Is he still around and still making freeware FSX sceneries?? Do not remember his name but do remember that he has grandchildren that he is very proud of.

Would need that famous person to extend and widen runway of freeware NZCI scenery add on that will not violate copyright regulations if it is used only for one person which is me. NZCI Chatham airport had first jet service 2 weeks ago by cargo 737 jet plane that I would like to recreate on FSX, please but the runway had been widen and extended to accommodate jet planes hence me seeing that famous person to modify the runway.

Are you talking about Ed Wells (falcon409)? He made a lot of freeware FSX sceneries and is still active on here but flying more in FS2020 now. You can send him a 'conversation' request (used to be called PMs in the old forum) by clicking on the small envelope at the top of this page and then select 'Start a new conversation' and put in his 'handle/screen name' to address the message to him. He normally gets back to my PMs in less than 24 hours.
 
As I remember, PM stood for Private message.....is starting a new conversation as private as the old PM's were?
 
Yes, it's exactly like the old PM system in that the message is just between the named participants only (i.e. yourself and whoever you address it to, single or multiple people). The new forum software just uses different terminology that's all.

Not sure but if he is the same guy who has a photo with his granddaughter on his signature, then it is him.

Thanks I will contact him. I hope he has not given up FSX in favor for MS2020
