Where's my Nieuport 17?

I am now the leading ace in my squad but am still stuck in the Bebe 11 despite the ace allotment being a 17. Will I ever get to the point where I get the better ace plane or will I have to wait until it regularly rotates into the squad? If I won't get it as an ace, is there a way I can force myself to fly it by editing the pilot file. I tried to do it when the ace plane was a Sopwith Triplane by changing the Nieuport_11_Bebe_xxx with Sopwith_Tripe_xxx (whatever the file names were) in my pilot file and it didn't do anything, neither giving me the plane nor crashing my game, so is there somewhere else to switch it just for my pilot?

Oof editing files will get you quite rightly a court-martial as Siggi says and also possibly trash your game, basically you get what your flight are given.
In CFS3 player flight all have same craft.
 
My, My, My how the players have evolved. In Phase 1 most tried to beat the system with commands.

By Phase 2 everybody ( even if they didn't do it) knew how to cheat, and just how much you could get away with.

Enter Phase 3, Everybody and their brother wants to change files.

What's gonna happen in Phase 4 ? :sheep::sheep::sheep:
 
Well, I'll have you know that my brother doesn't even play OFF (poor sod).
