Which is the best way to command your flight?

Hi

When I select a target and order my flight to attack - is it possible to order my wingman to stay behind me watching my six?

Usually when I order them to attack they all go after the enemy and if I'm in trouble and ask for help they are too far away to being able to do anything.
Which is the preferred way to deal with this?

Cheers

seems if I hit A once a pair breaks away and the rest stay w/ me and get in the way.....so I direct pairs at various targets and hope I don't run into my wingie......who anyway won't hesitate to shoot me if I'm in the way either.......

wingmen command is rubish in CFS3, this is one of the worst thing in this flight sim.

EAW was much, much more advanced from this point of view.

Hopefully by boosting pilot attributes like experience, vision, etc, the AI will perform better and start to make a difference. Agree with Gaw, send 'em off in pairs. If you have 7 wingmen you'll end up with your closest wingman left over.

OK, I must be more careful how many times I order Attack then!

Thanks for the tip! :salute:
