im a "pretender",i enjoy having a reason to fly my flight simulator, warbirds are fun,i like to pretend to go to airshows, but that gets boring, what i like about the GA stuff, and the older cooler stuff,is i like to pretend that ive packed up the family or friends and gone for a trip to hit differant resterants from the tv show "diners, drive inns and dives",i look the show up,the resterants in certin areas and near airports, and then make a flight plan and off i go,including potty stops...

All kinds of ways of pretending.... I like taking a pleasure craft around the lakes and rivers. Scenery is something to behold in this sim. :icon_lol:

Heh. I used to spend some time on Ebay looking at airplanes for sale that I had copies of in my flight sim. I'd find a good one, and "buy" it and plot and plan the flight back to my home airport. It had to be one currently in my hangar, though!

I love the warbirds, but I am most connected to the GAs. They were the types of planes I was trained in and could afford to fly :) I understand GA types proceedures, equipment, speeds and so on. If I had billions of dollars to spend I would loved to get signed off in and own a few warbirds, but I think the Cubs will win the world series before that happens ;) Thank you to A2A, CH and everyone for bringing the otherwise extremely expensive warbird experience as close to real as possible to our home computers:salute:

Same thing with the tubes, while it is very rewarding to program an FMS and operate a jetliner, I don't have the $$$$ to get type rated in one :) That being said the challenge of learning to fly a complex tubeliner or a warbird is very rewarding in FS, but when I just want to fly at 'comfortable brain speed', I just hop in my favorite GA.:icon29:

Cheers
TJ
