Start w/ B24Guy's A6M5_OH, ...borrow a skin, ...spill a little paint, ...add some alpha channel, ...correct the .dp, ...and top it all off w/ a mod. 1% .cfg and .air, ...

and...Voila!, ...a P/F Ki-43IIb w/ a great 3D cockpit.

Thanks B.

My sister in law Reiko, told me that during the war, the people would paint the airplanes with what was a water based paint in hopes that by painting them different colors, it would confuse the Americans that there were more airplanes than there really were.
One good rain storm and the silver would show through. They used to paint them once a week. But they all knew they were losing the war but no one even thought about surrendering. They used to cheer the B-29s because they thought they were their airplanes. But they hated the Blue (Navy) airplanes 'cause they would strafe the people.

BD ... I hope you'll make this available ... I think it's looks really nice. Also ... if you removed the cowling guns on a "second" version of this a/c ... could this half-way pass as an A6M8 ... or a proto of one? Just a thought, but you know how I am.

Still and all ... damned nice job!

Cheers, Bill

Hey HD, ...

Thanks for answerin' the question of the crappy IJN A/C paint...

...That mystery has come up many times 'round here. (w/ no satisfactory explanations)

Thanks.

To the rest, ...

The skin was borrowed, ...and take no credit for the fine work. (save the mods and tail flash)

So PM me for the skin delta's.

I could post the rest...

PS. Makes a mighty fine P/F Ki-84Ia Hayate, ...w/ a spinner, stack, and .dp/.cfg/.air change...)
