:wavey:Hey guys I’m having a problem installing CFS3 in Win7 Ultimate, I followed the directions to the letter, It all goes well, until I’m asked to send the win7cfs 3 to desktop (create short cut) I don’t get that command. Got me stumped. Also I don’t see the f86 folder. Can Anybody who knows bout Win7 Ultimate please help me out.

That's the Program Files (x86) folder. You may have to enable hidden files and folders - in an Explorer window, top left, Organize/Folder and search options and click on View tab to get to this. Once you've got CFS3 installed, set directory permissions to all - see Tailwind's videos on installing ETO (sticky thread) for how to do this (or turn the UAC off - the blunderbuss approach).

Hope this helps.

I got CFS3 up now, but my Joystick(Logitech Force 3D Pro) isn't recognized!

WTF is wrong I've updated my driver for it and it still wont work!

Help is needed here too!

Yes, it then says Windows stopped this device from working because it was reporting problems (Code 43)

and I've tried everythng!!!

It even works on my Win7 Laptop!

update

try uninstalling the drivers reboot plug the joystick in see if windows sees without the drivers installed cause it could be a driver issue cause I run windows 7 ultimate with no problems plus it is setup as duel boot XP and 7 but I also have gaming laptop to so that maybe why I Don't have the problems.

Enjoy!

:salute:Hey Taz I also have a duel boot XP and Win7 32bit ,the xP end works fine, but the WIN7 I just can't install cfs3 the Program Files (x86) folder is not there, I did follow the install directions to the letter, still don't work.
:isadizzy:Bout ready to give up on win7

Note to myself: engage brain before putting mouth in gear...

Okay now I've thought about this properly, are you running 64-bit or 32-bit Win7? You only get Program Files (x86) in 64-bit Windows.

Here is my method for installing CFS3 in Windows 7: stick CD (or DVD if you're lucky enough) in drive and let it auto-run, select Full Installation, let Windows get on with it. Apply CFS3.1 and 3.1a patches and run the cfs3config utility. Run the sim and set display and realism settings to taste.

I have no voodoo or registry hackery to offer, CFS3 doesn't need it, nor does Windows 7. Yell if you have any more bother.
