If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Windows 11 Issue

MajorMagee

SOH-CM-2022
For a while now (6-9 months?) I've experienced the occasional random lock-ups with CFS3 in Win 11. I could never assign a particular cause, and typically attributed it to my hardware, game install or, "perhaps something" that had changed in the newer Nvidia Drivers.

The June 22 Win 11 update lists several fixes related to d3d9, and with very limited testing, it appears to have addressed the actual issue so far. Time will tell, but if you've been having trouble with CFS3 crashing, I would recommend installing this update.

Thanks MajorMagee. A little while ago I experienced a crashing issue and blamed graphics card, then PSU. Still had some problems, and rolled back from the latest drivers. This seems to have solved the problem. Therefore I think you are right, there was some sort of driver/compatibility issue.
